More casualties / deaths have been reported in the accidents involving two wheeler especially in the case of those driving the vehicle without wearing the Helmet. Therefore, those who drive two wheeler must necessarily wear Helmet. Helmet prevents you from being fatally injured in case of any accident.
In Chennai, a metropolitan city in the southern part of India, the Chennai Traffic Police have reported around 108 deaths in various accidents involving two wheeler, this year up to April. Out of the above victims, around 102 deaths were due to non wearing of Helmets.
Helmet also protects your eyes and hair from being polluted by sand and other objects while driving. It should always be kept in mind that the Helmets produced by reputed / branded companies are much safer as per utility point of view rather than the cheaper Helmets that are available on road sides.
The Helmet should be properly worn i.e. the belt in the Helmet should properly catch your cheeks, otherwise, there can be no use by wearing Helmet. Those who accompany in the two wheeler should also wear Helmet. Please do not blame your Helmet for your neck pain, body pain etc. instead look out for a Helmet with lesser weight from reputed manufacturers.
Helmet is a must when you carry your family and children in the two wheeler. Even when you move for a short distance in your two wheeler, you should take care to wear Helmet.
